As a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW), I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate the complexities of mental health, growth, and healing. My name is Maddison Norton, and I primarily work with adults across Massachusetts who are coping with symptoms related to PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Whether you’re facing challenging family dynamics, processing past trauma, or experiencing difficult transitions, I’m here to provide a compassionate, validating space where healing can take root.
A Little About Me
I received my Master’s in Social Work from Boston College and completed my practicum at Boston Children’s Hospital, which deepened my understanding of the unique mental health challenges many people face. As a licensed Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) provider, I use this evidence-based approach to help those struggling with trauma symptoms redefine how they see themselves and the world around them.
In my sessions, both in person and online, I aim to create a therapeutic environment described by clients as warm, validating, and easy to open up in. I understand that mental health is deeply personal, and I work with individuals to examine how past experiences shape self-perception, beliefs, and relationships today. I also offer a free 15-minute consultation to help potential clients determine if I am the right fit for their needs.
Therapy Tailored to You
For those who prefer meeting face-to-face, my office is located on McLean Hospital’s campus in Belmont, MA, making it accessible for clients in Belmont, Cambridge, Arlington, and surrounding areas. And for clients across Massachusetts, I offer telehealth sessions, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort of your own home. Every session is tailored to you, with a focus on self-perception, healing, and growth.
